CCDSM November Meet 11/17/12

You guessed it... HOOTERS!

I know I've been slacking with the meets, and I apologize for that, but ever since I started working Saturdays it's hard for me to put everything together. This one will make up for it...
Located on the beautiful, scenic Berlin Turnpike this fine dining establishment serves only the best horse meat reconstituted as chicken wings. We will also be doing a Toys for Tots toy drive again. This was a big hit last year and we had a massive turn out. I already signed us up and they will be sending us another US Marine in full dress uniform to accompany our event!

Here is a picture from last year.

I have a few CCDSM shirts remaining if anyone would like to purchase one. I said I wasn't going to order more until I unloaded these and I mean it. I have even fewer stickers. Not sure if Clint still has any?

As I said last year...

Participation is not mandatory but you don't have to be a cheapskate either. C'mon, it's for kids.
Who am I shopping for? I mean I know kids, but how old?
Quote:
Most campaign sites are able to assist children up to age 12, but in many local communities, local support is such that the age limit may be extended to 14-16.
What should you buy, you ask?
Quote:
Toys for Tots does not publish a list of appropriate toys to donate. If such a list were created, most would follow it, resulting in a limited selection of items to distribute in each community. We would rather our donors consider what might be an appropriate gift for their own child/relative, purchase the item, and donate to Toys for Tots.
I always jump to the educational and developmental toys but and teens and preteens (my favorite age group ) are actually in need of toys as well as people forget to consider them. That's great but what do I buy for a teen?
Quote:
included, but are not limited to: sporting equipment/bags/balls; books, backpacks, cosmetics, purses, watch/wallet gift sets, bath gift sets, board games, radio control cars/trucks, hand-held electronics, skateboards/helmets, curling irons, hair straighteners, and hair dryers.
And there you have it. Hope to see you all there. Well, most of you. Tell your friends.

Can't move it to this weekend.
Constraints on their end.
I'm trying to get a day off to do a cruise before the end of the month though.
If not, then dinner.
