CCDSM 1/4 mile club decals

Hey guys I shot an idea out to Kev! It seem's like he liked it and thought I should post it so that everyone can decide if they want to be part of it. So that everyone get's a brief idea it is a set of decals that will go on the small windows behind the driver / passenger doors they would be as follows...

I dont have the ability to put up a pic but it would be our club logo followed by the 1/4 mile club decal.
(Small CCDSM logo) 13 second club
(Small CCDSM logo) 12 second club
(Small CCDSM logo) 11 second club etc...etc...etc...

These would be exclusive only to members that have earned them... You will not be allowed to put a 1/4 mile club decal unless you can prove that you have run that time. A gtech is not valid proof, only a timeslip is acceptable.

I think this would be good to let everyone know where your car is at, it will also make you want to get to the next level :mullet these decals would not cost that much more than what we are paying now! and would help with raising money for the club.

I think its a great idea but I call dibs on a 15 sec sticker! I hate advertising what I can do and even by some miracle my car does a 9 sec pass I'd still want a 15 sec sticker cause it would lull people into a false sense that they could beat me!

what happen's if you arn't in the 10's - 13's club. Meaning if your faster than 10's or slower than 13's. will this still apply... How about colors and track passes...

CCDSM did it back in the days...been there done that!!! Phil came up with it years ago it was called Triple Digit Racing once you hit triple digits in a 1/4 mile you could get your decal...Something grew out of that several years later when someone borrowed the name for their business... Triple Digit Motorsports :dunno and that is all I have to say on the subject, because Scott and myself seem to get into a huge war every couple of years when I post something and someone blows what I say out of proportion, although im sure he doesnt frequent this board that often :roll:

im sure we can make 9 sec and 8 sec decals but I dont think that we should do 14 sec and 15 sec decals... IMO

keep in mind before anyone gets pissed at me!!! I dont even have a running DSM at the moment and once its running im not sure if i'l even qualify for a 13 sec decal so its something that has to be worked for...keep in mind a 13.99 is technically still 13 seconds and is not that hard to achieve with most of our mods...

I think its a cool idea, we should definitely get this going, and keep it consistent with the current decal. If anyone wants anything done, Joe and I can make it with a turnaround time of 2-3 days. Any color, any design, you can email us something to cut or we can design it for you.

Kevin- If you want, we can put a few ideas together and post them on here, to gauge some interest and see what people prefer.

I feel what you are saying, but I believe in stickers (that are small, and tasteful) that support clubs and organizations. I run the ccdsm logo on my car, and a Uconncarclub.com logo as well. A "club xx second" sticker, incorporated properly into the CCDSM logo, would be pretty tasteful, and not ricey imo. Although I wouldn't put one on until I got my 12.xxx or better timeslip. :)

The decals would range from 5 to 10 dollars each, depending on size, material, and level of detail.
