I've got a question. I can get on CCDSM's website here in work but at home, starting yesterday or the day before, I get a page stating it can't be found or something of that nature. I don't remember exactly just that CCDSM wouldn't load.
First I thought it was a problem with CCDSM's server but that isn't it.
I have Optimum Online at home and some Computer Sciences Corp. connection here in work. They are both using Explorer.
I've got three computers in the house and none of them connect to CCDSM. I have no problems with any other website.

Do you have Optimum Online at home?

Give these few things a try:
- Scan with a Virus Scanner. You can download a fully working free trial of one called Kaspersky and .. buy .. it later on.
- Disconnect your modem and let it stay unhooked for about 10 minutes. (By disconnect I mean unhook the power cord from behind it). Then hook it back up, wait for it to refresh and go to Start > Run > type in 'cmd' (with no ') then type in ipconfig /release and when it tells you the connection has been released type in ipconfig /renew
It'll renew the settings.
- If still no go scan with AdAware, Spybot S&D, and Microsoft Spybot Scanner.
- If still it is a no go, I'd assume there is something wrong with your ISP, and for some reason they aren't caching the sites (CCDSMs) DNS. Try and give this a go real fast: http://64.179.29.114/

If all of these haven't worked, call up your ISP and let them know of the issue.

EDIT: Another thing, just to let you guys know, if your ISP is at all affiliated or colocating a server from ComCast you could be having issues because of that. Apparently almost all of ComCasts servers are under a MASSIVE DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack.

Alright I just trouble shooted this with Doug, it's an issue with your ISPs DNS server, for some reason it's not caching CCDSM.NET on it's server, although going to the IP address of the site first will work. Like I pasted above (http://64.179.29.114/forum) give that a go and try and login, if it works, try going back to ccdsm.net you may or may not have to login once again. One thing that worked for Doug was just removing www and going with http://ccdsm.net/forum/ either way give your ISP a call when you're home and let them know of the issue so they can resolve it.

I had to remove the www at work in order to access the forums. Everything is fine at home.

Hmm since alot of you are having issues, and it's doubtful that you're all on the same ISP, maybe theres a config error with Apache.
Personally it's running fine for me. I'm on Charter Pipeline 4mb downstream.

I had excat the same problem last night . And I figured that the site was down . cause this morning I saw that the was only like 40 user in past 24houers . when ussually it's over 80 user in 24h .

Here at work works fine , and I'm ussing iMac and SBC DSL at home .

Thought about it and because some users are having issues while others aren't it definitley shouldn't be the config file for Apache that is screwy, definitley call up your ISPs if you continue to have issues and let them know that for some reason they're not caching alot of DNS'.

The issue has been fixed. Was a confusion in servers. I contacted the database administrator and were good to go.

Rather, it was a DNS server that was down. That's all fixed.

Dennis, being that you're on ComCast has your connection run like shit at all as of late? I've heard from numerous people ComCast is under a heavy DDoS or at least was.
